1. Meta
As other tech companies lay off talent, Meta seems to be one of the only (if not the only) top tech company hiring. As of Summer 2024, Meta is hiring more software engineers than any other tech company. Possibly 10x more. While FAANG companies like Amazon and Netflix are still hiring some engineers, they’re not hiring anywhere near the scale that Meta is hiring. That means they can be choosy and demand software engineering candidates jump through hoops.

2. Rippling
Rippling is an HR startup company that recently exploded in size. They’re now in talks to raise at a $13.4 billion valuation. To accommodate their growth, Rippling recently quadrupled their San Francisco office space and plans to hire hundreds of new employees.
On LinkedIn, Rippling lists 340 open positions. The Rippling Careers page lists 318 open roles. The most common open role on Rippling Careers is software engineering (129 roles).
While Rippling’s new hiring numbers are extremely impressive, some former employees report a high turnover rate. But in today’s extremely challenging tech job market, Rippling’s growth and hiring is a breath of fresh air for tech professionals.
3. Stripe
Stripe has a lot of software engineer positions open. Plus, they are known for being one of the best places to work as an engineer. They were part of the Y Combinator summer 2010 batch and have grown rapidly since their time in the incubator. In fact, they are currently valued at over $20 billion.

4. Adobe
Adobe currently has 142 software engineer jobs in San Francisco and San Jose for you to choose from. They have been on the Fortune magazine ‘100 Best Companies to Work For’ list 16+ times. Many celebrate them for their strong company culture.
You should definitely be ready to talk about your commitment to their values, including diversity. So, be sure to read their Diversity page. Their onsite interview is known to be a little longer than other companies. So, you should prepare by practicing your responses ahead of time and working on the technical questions that will likely be asked.
5. Box
Box employees are described as people who love their jobs. The atmosphere in the company is described as vibrant and energetic. Their office is located in Redwood City and they have 80+ software engineer jobs currently open.
