Are you looking for software engineer jobs and feeling overwhelmed? Oftentimes, it seems like people just apply online and then wait by their email to see if they will hear back.
We want to make it a little easier on you. We’ve compiled a list of 7 great San Francisco-based companies that are hiring right now for software engineer jobs. We have also created guides to getting hired at these places as well as 200+ other tech companies throughout the country. So, you can see their values, mission, interview processes, interview questions, and more.
Most of the software engineering interviews at these companies follow a similar structure:
- Phone screen with recruiter
- Technical challenge or interview
- Onsite interview (mix of technical and behavioral)
We’ve given you some information on how you can prepare for both the technical and behavioral interviews at each of the companies.
1. Meta
As other tech companies lay off talent, Meta seems to be one of the only (if not the only) top tech company hiring. As of Summer 2024, Meta is hiring more software engineers than any other tech company. Possibly 10x more. While FAANG companies like Amazon and Netflix are still hiring some engineers, they’re not hiring anywhere near the scale that Meta is hiring. That means they can be choosy and demand software engineering candidates jump through hoops.
Check out the most common Meta interview questions, the specific cultural values Meta is seeking, and how to contact Meta recruiters. Reaching out to Meta recruiters with a cold email can increase your response rates by 3x.
